Enjoy the summer and relax with Fatboy
The weather has been beautiful so far this summer, and we truly hope it will last until September. However, let's seize the moment now and enjoy the sun while it lasts - and what better way to do it than with Fatboy? The Dutch company became famous thanks to its iconic beanbags which mix comfort and design to offer a unique seating experience, but beanbags are not the only types of products that were given a twist. A great example of Fatboy's creativity is the Rockcoco chandelier, which you may have seen recently in the Mail on Sunday's outdoor lighting feature, the Rockcoco is a piece inspired by the rococo style but with a modern twist - all in transparent plastic and red wires. We think Fatboy products are brilliant to make your outdoor space a second home, while providing both comfort and fun. Without further ado, let us introduce you to two summer favourites: the Fatboy Hammock and the brand new 'Concrete' seats.
Fatboy Headdemock Hammock
The Headdemock Hammock by Fatboy is more than just a hammock: it is family-friendly, big enough to welcome an adult and two children, or two adults. In the same way Edison the Grand Lamp is a gigantic lamp, the Headdemock is a giant, over-sized hammock with all the perks of the original item, plus the Fatboy touch. The hammock is large – I believe we’ve said that already! – and it is also comfortable and strong, with a sturdy metal frame and high quality fabric. What’s more, it can be easily packed in storage bags to follow you to the beach or to the park. If you want to be all snug at your next picnic or BBQ, you know what to do…!
Fatboy 'Concrete' seat
Don't worry, Fatboy's concrete seats are in concrete in nothing but name: the brand new seats from the Netherlands are actually made of resin - linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) to be precise. The Fatboy designers had the idea to create a comfortable, stylish version of the concrete blocks that can sometimes be found outdoors, used as stools. These lightweight stools (5.4 Kg), available in the showroom in taupe or available to order in grey, light grey, brown and white are easily stackable and can effortlessly be cleaned with a little lukewarm water and neutral soap. The Concrete seats can be used either as stools or as small tables (they look great with an Edison the Petit Lamp on top!), and if they are too lightweight or maybe not stable enough for your needs, all you have to do is fill them in with sand or water to make them heavier – isn’t that clever? If you want to make these ingenious stools even more comfortable, you can use them with colourful cushions to make them stand out in style in your garden.
We love Fatboy’s new Concrete seats, particularly the fact that they are versatile and lightweight, but can be filled to make them sturdy and strong.
